Saturday: Biological Farming Workshop
Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Price: $385 (Students save $50 with valid ID)
Description:
Learn the art and science of making thermal aerobic compost and compost tea. This workshop will guide you through building a compost ring that can be scaled to any farm size, from a small plot to vast hectares. You’ll discover how organic additions to the soil can enhance soil biology, improve nutrient availability, and manage weeds without relying on chemicals. Key discussions will also cover regenerative agriculture and strategies for future-proofing farms against climate change.

Sunday: Small Microscope Course
Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Description:
Explore the unseen world of soil biology through the lens of a microscope. This course teaches you how to identify and understand the beneficial organisms in soil and compost, crucial for maintaining soil health. Whether you bring your own microscope or use one provided, you’ll leave with a solid understanding of microbial life and its impact on farming.

    • Special Dietary Requirements: Please respond to your confirmation email if you have any dietary needs.
    • What to Bring: If you have a microscope, feel free to bring it along. Also, wear clothes and boots suitable for getting wet and dirty.
    • COVID-19 Protocols: Agpath supports immune compromised staff. Out of respect and safety, masks must be worn in confined spaces, and social distancing is encouraged. If flu or COVID symptoms have been experienced within two weeks of a workshop visit, please inform Agpath prior to arrival.
